An application is opening a window on the wb screen,
you may not actually see it because it may be just a couple
of pixels in size....
Sometimes you miss the obvious, I don't suppose you
have a clock displayed on the screen ???
Read the FAQ on the web site & look at the list
of nasty software, you may have a contender..
